With the start given by Ramakrishna Ashrama ROSHNI took off very quickly, with a rapid environs through a series of awreness raising exercises.

Some of the milestones:

• March 1997 awareness raising activities conducted through visit by 4 young adults with multilpe disability.
• December 1997 participated in Government training for Panchayat survey.
• Conceptualised & conducted
  • Awareness raising campaign at Gwalior Annual Trade Fair.
  • Medical practitioners & FPAI workers oriented for prevention identification & referals.
• January 1998 Parent's association registered.
• April 1998 ROSHNI formally estabilished with 150 families registered.
• September 1998 second visit by a group of disabled from the Spastics Society of Nothern India , Delhi.
